IERHS Meeting Minutes – Sept 6, 2005

Note: Due to a mis-communication, notes were not taken at the meeting. The following is an after-the-fact reconstruction of the meeting.

Introduction of members & guests: One guest was present Eighteen signed in.

Secretary’s Report: The secretary was not present. Last month’s secretary’s report was accepted as read by Jerry Fey.

Treasurer’s Report: Was accepted as read.

Correspondence: The President passed out a list of 16 pieces of correspondence he had received. The list was printed on the back of the outline provided to each member attending. The correspondence was passed around for all to read.

Equipment Status Report:

Construction Machinery Status:

Museum rolling Stock Status: Grounds work has taken priority over rolling stock work.

Turntable & track at UP yard: No new news for the UP.

Trade caboose for two 268 K ton flat cars: Nothing to report.

Activity Reports:

Lincoln County Fair Report: Our presence at the fair was a success.

Train Swaps: Plans are proceeding for the October Train Show. Lots of help is needed to set-up, run the show and teardown. All help is appreciated. Dale Swant asked about the Silent Auction and it was decided to have it with whatever is available.

Siding at PR&CC (need to move rail): We are still waiting for trucks to transport the rail. All trucks are presently tied up in harvest.

WATCO / PR&CC information: The sale still has not officially been completed.

By-Law Update: A proposed draft was mailed to committee members.

Other new business: John suggested that we should keep an eye out for ex-New Orleans traction motors since the Katrina hurricane as put their system out of order for a while.
