Equipment status - vehicles: The D-8 Cat still needs a roller. The status of the clutch is unknown. The truck’s gas tank is now fixed. Someone punched a hole in it to steal the gas.
Equipment status – Museum rolling stock: Dolly will support our extension of the lease and would like to see the Reardan site. The Fair would like to see the two-foot gauge train stay.
Equipment status – Turntable and track: The turntable project is on hole. We are waiting to get our recently acquired flatcars up to Spokane.
Equipment status – Boise Cascade engine in the Lampson Crane Yard: No change.
Activity Report – Train Swaps: We sold $360 worth of goods at our October train show at SCC. We are scheduled to have a table at the Pullman train show on March 19th. Mike will be attending the Livingston and Helena, MT shows.
Activity Report – Fair Board: Nothing new to report.
Committee Report – Reardan: We want Warren to use our equipment to avoid the equipment moving costs.
Committee Report – Siding on PR&CC: BN has proposed taking over the PR&CC. We are still trying to find a flat bed to move the rest of the rail for the switch and siding. We need to install the siding before it belongs to the BN.
Committee Report – Historian: Nothing to report.
Committee Report – Status of money raising: Bill will ask Wheatland Bank for $10,000. The Bank of America in Odessa has changed management so Bill will have to start all over with them. He is also asking Avista for $10,000 and for a contribution from the grain elevators.
Other Old Business – WATCO (PR&CC): WSU finished their study. Bill thinks the State of Washington will buy the line. They are shut down now for the winter season and cars are stored on the line.
New Business – Annual Meeting: The annual meeting is set for January of 2007. The group needs suggestions for a program.
New Business – Meeting Place: This month our normal room was given over to another group and we had to meet in the normal customer dining room which is divided into 4 person booths. The radio played constantly and could not be turned down. It was suggested we look for another place to hold a meeting.
New Business – Train Rides: Jerry Fey read an email advertising train excursions in Western Washington on June 6,7,8 & 9, 2006.
New Business – N.P. Convention: The Northern Pacific Historical Society convention will be held in Bozeman, MT on July 12-16, 2006.
